We use the term Settler Australian to describe individuals living in Australia who do not have Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. We do so acknowledging that colonisation is a violent and ongoing process. The use of this term recognises people’s identities as inhabitants, or settlers, from countries outside of Australia (Weenthunga Health Network Inc., n.d.).
