djilba biik, meaning ‘protected ground’ in Woi-wurrung, exists for First Nations people who are working in health, wellbeing and healing roles.
We have a Women’s space for First Nations women, sistergirls and gender diverse mob and a Men’s space for First Nations men, brotherboys and gender diverse mob.
Our lived experience of colonial load and racism drives us to purposefully build communities of care among First Nations health professionals to prevent burnout and nurture social and emotional wellbeing.
Activities in our djilba biik spaces include:
- Individual backing, such as debriefing, clinical supervision and coaching
- Collective backing, such as cultural workshops and online yarns
- Our annual First Nations Women/Men in Health Retreats and Experiences
