WEENTHUNGA NETWORK DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

 The Weenthunga Health Network is seeking to recruit a future leader for Weenthunga, who over time can assume more of the leadership roles and responsibilities.  The half-time Network DevelopmentManager will work from an office in Collingwood.

Applications are invited from First Australians and Australians with experience in managing small organisations or operations in larger organisations, with experience in, or knowledge of, the health sector and a strong interest in Indigenous health.

Weenthunga is a First Australian-led organisation, encouraging collaboration between First Australians and Australians to contribute to strategies to improve the health and well being of Victorian First Australians and their communities www.weenthunga.com.au.

The Network DevelopmentManager will work within Weenthunga’s collaborative two ways model with Weenthunga’s Executive Officer and Health and Education Consultant. Responsibilities will include: contributing to Weenthunga’s networking with a partner organisation, as well as assisting with scaling up networking in regional Victoria to support First Australian senior students on their journeys into health roles; and will take a lead role in a project aimed at fostering networking between academics in Victorian health courses and staff in Aboriginal health services to ensure the Aboriginal voice is central in all Indigenous health teaching.
